Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are helping people around the world while practicing their math facts with the site FreeRice.com. As of 2/3 we met our goal of answering 100,000 multiplication problems! That means that Newport Elementary helped donate 1 million grains of rice while getting better at math!

Congratulations North Carolina Reading Association state-level winners of the 2014-2015 Young Author Writing Contest.
